H. T. Motors

This division of Crompton Greaves manufactures a range of High Voltage Induction motors.

The division began operations way back in 1972 with the manufacture of a 150 kW 4 pole 3.3 kV Induction motor.

Initial technical know-how for the manufacturing operations came from Brush Electrical Machines Ltd., U.K. Later the company entered into a technical collaboration with Hitachi Ltd. Japan - the world leaders in Induction Motors. The division also has extensive links with prestigious institutions of higher learning and research like IIT Mumbai, IISc Bangalore, and TCIRD Patiala etc.

Today the division can supply Induction motors of ratings up to 10,000 kW with superior designs and enhanced reliability features for applications in a Thermal Power Plant.

Application for the range of motors include Boiler Feed Pumps, Circulating Water Pumps, Induced Draft Fans, Forced Draft Fans, Primary Air Fan, Secondary Air Fan, Condensate Extract Pump, Crushers, Coal Mills Conveyer and Ash Slurry Pumps.

The manufacturing facilities of the division are located in Mandideep. The Division has received certification from BVQI and has been awarded the ISO 9001
